Representing & integrating minorities in Finnish politics
HELSINKI LEFT is an immigrant-led, grassroots chapter of Left Alliance, which works to better represent and integrate minority groups in Finnish politics. We help people understand Finnish politics and overcome the language barrier.
Our main working language is English, but we welcome speakers of any language. We share a limited amount of useful information in multiple languages, e.g. about HELSINKI LEFT, workers’ rights, trade unions, voting rights, immigrants’ rights, and discrimination.
As a chapter, we are able to raise the profile of issues affecting immigrants, both within the party, and within society. By fielding candidates in elections, we strive to better represent minority groups.
You are welcome to support our objectives by participating in our events, becoming a member, or becoming an active contributor to our activities!
HELSINKI LEFT accepts membership applications from habitual residents of Finland, aged 15 and above, who agree to the chapter’s and Left Alliance’s rules, purpose, and party programme.
